THE ONLY CANDIDATE ACTIVELY INVOLVED...
I have always said:

"It's not how long you've lived here, it's what you've done in the time your here!"

As you look at the other candidates, you will see that I am the only candidate who has lived in
Pearland continuously for over a decade.

More importantly, I am the
only candidate that has been actively involved in our community that
entire span of time including attending vital meetings including: City Council Meetings, Annexation
Meetings, Transportation Meetings, Pearland Regional Airport Expansion Meetings, Blue Ridge
Landfill Expansion Meetings...etc.

It's quite easy for a candidate to pay their membership dues and then declare themselves a
"member" of local organizations a few weeks before the elections.

However:
INVOLVEMENT is something that cannot be faked.

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

Many residents believe that our representatives do not listen to them.

Like you, I believe that the job of any official is to represent the people.

A representative cannot accomplish that if they are not in tune with the wants and needs of the
community.

Too often we must choose from professional politicians who are jumping from office to office
with the same empty promises.
I'M RUNNING  BECAUSE I WANT TO BRING YOUR VOICE TO CITY COUNCIL
It's time to have a representative who interacts with you, who listens to you and speaks
with your voice with honesty and integrity.
AS A COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL CONTINUE TO BE ENGAGED IN THE
COMMUNITY AND PROACTIVE IN ADDRESSING THE ISSUES THAT
AFFECT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE.

CONCERNING
ENDORSEMENTS:

I've had many individuals ranging
from Business Owners to elected
officials (Council, School Board,
A previous Mayor etc.. ) offer to
"endorse" me for my campaign
for council, however:

**I have not gone out and asked
for endorsements. I believe my
campaign reflects my values
and that the people I have had
contact with recognize that. My
best endorsements have come
from the people I meet who
recommend me to their friends
and neighbors!**

                I believe our residents
have had enough with
"POLITICIANS" that are elected
into office and usually beholden
to others in exchange for their
"support".

I invite you to meet me and
decide for yourself if I'm
worthy of your personal
endorsement.  YOU are my
priority.  Please check my
events for Meet n Greets!

                My promise to you if
elected,
I WILL BRING
YOUR VOICE TO COUNCIL.
WE MADE THE RUN-OFF ELECTION!!! THANK YOU!!!
Please ensure that YOUR voice on council...sign up to help get the word out!

For over 12 years, I have been bringing YOUR issues to light...fighting for YOU....

Over the years, I have supported our residents on the WEST SIDE by publicly opposing
the proposed Blue Ridge Landfill Expansion back in 2006/2007, went to the meetings
and spoke up against this expansion.

I have stood with and supported our residents during the proposed low income housing
proposal at Shadow Creek Ranch & Dixie Farm Rd.

I have publicly supported the addition of the West Side Library, met with County
               Commissioners and researched funding options.

On the EAST SIDE I PUBLICLY SUPPORTED HEB AT PEARLAND PARKWAY.  I attended
ALL meetings concerning the HEB and brought the issue to light during my campaign
while others claimed "it wasn't an issue" (yet here we are a year later and still there is no
final resolution)

I have attended ALL meetings on the Proposed Municipal Management District/Expansion of
the Pearland Regional Airport (Cloverfield), stood with our residents, publicly OPPOSED this
MMD and collected signatures to help prevent the lowering of
your home values

and protect the safety of the area.

Meanwhile, my opponent is being endorsed by the individual who runs this airport.

I have continually supported our Police & Fire Departments. Graduating from the Citizens
Police Academy, researching funding options in order to provide our officers with the equipment
they need, bringing to light the need for broadband radios, addition of police cars to the
home fleet program and the need to hire more officers. I'm happy to see that some of these
issues I spotlighted have been addressed, but we need to continue to support our
Departments so that they may continue to provide quality service to our growing community.

I support additional fields that would accommodate Sports Tournaments here in Pearland.  I
believe with a collaboration between organizations such as the Dad's Club and the City, we can
make Pearland one of the locations for these Tournaments that bring in Revenue and as our
Chamber of Commerce would say..."heads in the beds" at our local hotels.

I have advocated the need for finding better ways to communicate with our residents including
offering a interactive councilmember website for residents if I am elected.

"I support the formation of a "Pearland Volunteers" (ex: "Houston Volunteers") that allows our
volunteers to stay HERE in Pearland.
The saying goes, "Charity begins at home" and our home is our community!

Most of our students must complete a minimum number of community hours.
       Most
families end up traveling to Houston to fulfill these hours.

I have done much research on this issue and have seen the possibilities.
The utilization of a volunteer base would save the City money.

We should be utilizing our volunteer base here in Pearland instead of sending them to Houston.

*** I have a detailed plan that I have available from the research I have conducted.

I believe we could form partnerships with formations of 501 c3 organizations/ advocacy groups
in order to help offset some of the costs in different departments.
There are grants that municipalities cannot apply for which a 501 would be able to apply for.
We need to form these vital relationships with organizations to help promote Pearland.

For many years, I have researched ways to save the City money without cutting City Services
or raising taxes.  These are just some of my ideas that I have passed along in order to help
our community...If you have any questions, please call me   832-767-8061  TAMMY
